چکیده

[Original]Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary neoplasm of liver, which arises from parenchymal cells liver.1 Hepatocellular usually develops in setting chronic background liver disease, such as cirrhosis or hepatitis B C infection. The diagnosis HCC relies heavily on diagnostic imaging, and high sensitivity specificity Liver Imaging Reporting Data System (LI-RADS) classification system allows for clinical decisions to be made based imaging appearance alone.2 However, systems LI-RADS rely lesions following multistep progression dysplastic nodule large, de-differentiated a step-wise fashion.3 In this case report, we will discuss an atypical well-differentiated hepatocellular with features, presented asymptomatic young patient no known disease. [Updated]Hepatocellular classically presents disease. present was detected 43-year-old man underlying We review features mass, did not follow typical enhancement characteristics defined by criteria. ultimately confirmed surgical resection pathologic analysis.

Atypical Presentation of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Mimicking a Gastric Hepatoid Adenocarcinoma

The diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) relies on imaging tools and biopsy. It usually does not present to be a challenge. Here we report the case of a 69-year-old patient with HCC, initially mistaken for a gastric hepatoid adenocarcinoma (HAC), with a favorable outcome after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The initial presentation (clinical signs, morphological features, and histological findi...

Atypically large well-differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma with extensive fatty metamorphosis: report of a case.

A large well-differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with fatty change is rare, and to date only a few cases have been reported. Herein, we present a 68-year-old man who developed a well-differentiated HCC with extensive fatty metamorphosis. The patient was referred to our institute because of a rapidly growing tumor in the left lobe of the liver. Ultrasonography showed a hyperechoic lesi...

imaging and imaging-guided interventions in the diagnosis and management of hepatocellular carcinoma (hcc)-review of evidence

the imaging of hepatocellular carcinoma (hcc) is challenging and plays a crucial role in the diagnosis and staging of the disease. a variety of imaging modalities, such as ultrasound, computed tomography (ct), magnetic resonance imaging (mri) and nuclear medicine are currently used in evaluating patients with hcc. although the best option for the treatment of these cases is hepatic resection or...

Unusual reticulin staining pattern in well-differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma

BACKGROUND Special stains, such as reticulin stain and CD34 immunostain, are very helpful in the diagnosis of well differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Most studies have shown that absent or decreased reticulin stain or an abnormal reticulin pattern with widened trabeculae is reliable for the diagnosis of well-differentiated HCC. CASE REPORT We report here two cases of well differen...
